This is another in a series of Shopper Stories in which Crafty Marters share their adventures and fun finds at one of our Markets.

Here is Tori's story from her visit to the Artwalk Pop Up Market (February 2016):

Name:  Tori Tedesco

Profession:  Freelance graphic designer, photographer. I am also a fellow crafter that knits under the moniker Little Birdie Design Studio.

Let me just start by saying that this isn’t my first rodeo. I have been vending and shopping at Crafty Mart for many years and can say that each time I am as excited as the last. Every new mart has either a vendor I have not seen in a while or has a new vendor making some amazing things I would love to purchase.

Most recently at the February Artwalk Pop-Up Market, I was set up next to Amy from Little Chicago Clothing Co. I am a big fan of their local designs that do not just stop at the nearest big city.  I was excited to see that, new for 2016, Little Chicago was launching a limited edition series called the “Mighty Tuscarawas.” Having been born and raised in Tuscarawas County, I knew I was going to end up with at least one of these shirts to pay tribute to the home of my youth. Little Chicago has some of the comfiest shirts and sweatshirts out there. I highly recommend that you seek them out and find out for yourself.

So, I am a huge “sweets” person.  Most Crafty Mart events do not lack on someone making amazing sweets.  Case in point, Made by Mike Treats. I had seen Mike’s handy work sold in locations locally, but had not had the chance to try them until the 7th Annual Holiday Show last November.  I purchased a bag of his Sea Salt Caramels and was instantly hooked. My husband and I finished a bag in a day. So, needless to say that when Mike set up at the most recent Pop-Up Market, I knew I was buying some. When you buy caramels of this caliber you do not just stop with one bag!

That evening we passed out these delicious little packages to other vendors and friends who had not had them, everyone raving about how delicious they are.

Crafty Mart has become a mainstay here in Akron. I am so appreciative to have had the opportunity to be a part of the Crafty Mart events, to work with their crew, and to meet so many talented crafters from my area. Can’t wait to see what the Spring Mom & Pop Shoppe has to offer. Hope to see everyone out on April 2nd!
