This is another in a series of Vendor Spotlights where we let those who will be sharing their wares shine a light on what it is they do. The following profile is Pat from The Robot Consortium (AKA "the robot guy") and his response to a mini-questionnaire.

1). What's your name and what is it that you make?

My name is Pat Gerber. I make a variety of wooden robot characters from re-purposed hardwoods. I currently offer over 20 different types and the list is constantly expanding.

2). How did you acquire the unique skill set to do what it is you do?

I started woodworking at a young age in my father's home workshop. After a long hiatus, I got back into it as a way to save money on remodeling costs. When those projects were finished I found I had lots of tools and free time so I started making stuff for friends and ended up vending at craft shows by accident.

3).  What is your best seller?

Mr. Moneybags currently holds the title of best seller, closely followed by the Viking and Frankenstein's monster.

4).  How long have you been vending? Have you done the Mom & Pop Shoppe before?

I've been vending a little over 5 years now. My very first Crafty Mart was the spring show, about 4 years ago.

5). The Beatles or the Rolling Stones?
Stones FTW!

Thank you Pat for answering our questions! We can't wait to see you at the next Crafty Mart!
