Last Saturday we had our first ever outdoor event, and in spite of all my panicking leading up to the day, it was a huge success!
In addition to having so many great vendors selling items, we also had live entertainment throughout the day, which gave the space a great vibe. Check out this video of Max Reaven performing on the raised deck above Urban Eats.
We also had workshops going on inside Musica. I took a perfume blending class with Yates Apothecary and smelled amazing for the rest of the day. Read about one blogger's experience where he made the "New Zealand of terrariums" with Klink Creatively: http://www.akronempire.com/2014/07/terrarium-workshop-crafty-mart-summer.html
Other workshops included yoga with aromatherapy and jewelry making. We hope to include more classes at our future events!
Akron Stitch n' Bitch along with Harps & Thistles Yarn Emporium (opening soon!) had a table set up where they were inviting shoppers to help with a yarn bomb installation. It turned out so cool! As of this morning it was still hanging up on Market Street at the overpass of 59. Check it out!
Thanks again to everyone who came out! Akron Farm and Flea Market will be taking place in the same location (the parking lot in front of Musica) starting this Saturday. Check out their Facebook page for more details: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Akron-Farm-and-Flea-Market/1426338510985099
We hope to see everyone again at the next Crafty Mart over Thanksgiving weekend!
